Data Collection

Family Coordinator collects calendar events from your Google Calendar, including event titles, descriptions, dates, times, and attendees. This is the primary data we collect to provide scheduling coordination and conflict detection services.

We also receive basic profile information (email address, name, profile picture) through Google authentication, which is used solely for account identification and authentication purposes.

Google Calendar Data Usage

Calendar data is used solely to: create and modify events on your behalf, detect scheduling conflicts, display family schedules, and extract events from conversations using AI analysis. All processing occurs within our secure infrastructure.

Data Storage

Calendar data is stored in our PostgreSQL database encrypted at rest. Events are cached temporarily to improve performance. Original Google Calendar data remains the source of truth; we maintain a synchronized copy for coordination features.

Data Retention

Calendar event data is retained for the duration of your account with Family Coordinator. Your data remains accessible while your account is active and is automatically deleted when you delete your account. If you revoke Google Calendar access without deleting your account, we cease accessing new calendar data within 24 hours and delete cached event data after 30 days.

Data Sharing

We do not share calendar data with third parties. Data is not sold, rented, or disclosed except as required by law. Family members can only access events you explicitly share within the app.

User Rights & Access Revocation

You maintain full control over your data. You can revoke Google Calendar access at any time via your Google Account security settings. You can also delete your Family Coordinator account at any time, which will permanently delete all associated calendar data.
